“ON TO NOVEMBER”
Scarborough, Maine - Although it was a mere formality, Sean Flaherty officially became Democratic Party’s Candidate for Maine House Distrcit 127 by winning more than 600 votes in his uncontested June 10th Primary.
After receiving the most votes of the four Scarborough House Candidates (who were all also uncontested), Sean Flaherty noted, “There is some real energy looking for change in Scarborough, and the strong turnout reflects that. I stood at the polls all day, shaking hands and talking with voters, and you could tell that people are already getting excited about casting a vote for real change in November.”
Flaherty also congratulated the many other candidates on the ballot across the State, “Thank you to all of the candidates in the other races around the State. Win or loose, taking a leap to run for office is a great thing for our Democracy. Specifically, I’d like to thank my opponent for the fall, John McDonough, and wish him luck in the coming months.”
Now that the first stage of the election has concluded, Flaherty is now looking forward to the work ahead, “For our campaign, it’s on to November.”
