AUGUSTA, MAINE - The Maine State Employees Association - Service Employees International Union announced their endorsement of Sean Flaherty and his campaing for the Maine House of Representatives.

“We believe that you best represent our members’ concerns and understand their issues,” Bruce Hodsdon, President of the Association, said of Flaherty. “The stakes have never been higher for Maine and our nation. MESA-SEIU is committed to making a difference for our members and all working families this fall.”

The Maine State Employees Association represents more than 15,000 public and private sector workers throughout the state of Maine. The Service Employees International Union is 2 million working people and 50,000 retirees united to improve services and our communities throughout North America.

SEIU members are winning better wages, health care, and more secure jobs at home, while uniting their strength with their counterparts around the world to help ensure that workers, not just corporations and CEOs, benefit from today’s global economy.
